Some people running will have expressed viewed and topics of interest. I, on the other hand, wish to be elected for who I am and general brushstrokes. As one member of a Council of 11 each individual does not really have the capacity to promise. They can express an intent, illustrate the direction they would encourage and then the process of the table begins.
I believe that local politics is the best way for change. The best way to express democracy. Sure I follow federal politics and would love to participate. But it is only on the ground floor that real change, real progress can be made.
I am running on transparency and opening up and welcoming the citizenry of Mississippi Mills to the table. And using the vast pool of talents to increase the quality of life for all citizens.
